Curriculum Focus

Creative Curriculum blends play-based learning with structured academics, building early literacy skills, math concepts, and social-emotional development. Our age appropriate curriculum guides children through learning centers focused on science, art, dramatic play, and hands-on exploration that keeps young learners engaged throughout the school year.

Daily Routine

Your child's day begins with circle time, where we practice the calendar, weather observation, and letter of the week. The daily routine flows through themed lessons, center rotations, outdoor time, and age appropriate activities designed to build independence and confidence. Children participate in small group instruction, free exploration, lunch with friends, and structured learning that prepares them for kindergarten success.

Classroom Experience

Our Pre-K classrooms feature bright, spacious learning centers where children move freely between literacy stations, math manipulatives, art supplies, building blocks, and dramatic play areas. Each child's classroom becomes a second home, filled with caring classroom guides who know your child by name and understand their unique learning style. These thoughtfully designed classrooms create a learning environment where every moment matters.

About Our Pre-Kindergarten Programs

Will my child be ready for kindergarten? That question keeps many parents up at night. The truth is, kindergarten readiness goes beyond knowing letters and numbers. Your son or daughter needs confidence to raise their hand, patience to complete tasks, and the social skills to navigate friendships and relationships with other kids. Research shows that 90% of brain growth happens before kindergarten, making these pre k years some of the most important in your child's life. Scientists have found that a child's brain doubles in size during the first year of life, building the foundations for how they learn, explore, and understand the world. For 20 years, families across Grand View Estates, Meridian Village, Sierra Ridge, Parker North, and surrounding communities have trusted our early learning center to provide the complete preparation their kids need. We combine a research based curriculum with genuinely caring educators who see the potential in every child who walks through our doors on their first day.

From 4 Years to 6 Years: Development Support For Every Stage

Children between 4 and 6 years old experience remarkable growth. They transform from toddlers who need help with everything into independent young people ready to tackle kindergarten. Our pre k programs support both Pre-K3 and Pre-K4 students through this journey with an age appropriate curriculum and activities matched to their developmental stage. Understanding key developmental milestones helps us recognize each child's progress and provide support exactly when they need it most. Every child receives individualized attention in our nurturing environment where relationships between classroom guides, students, and families create a foundation of trust and understanding.

Building Early Literacy Through Learning Centers

Pre k programs succeed when children discover that reading opens doors to new worlds. Our learning centers immerse students in print-rich environments where books, labels, and writing materials invite constant exploration. Teachers (whom we call guides) guide small groups through phonics activities while children practice letter formation and begin sounding out simple words. These early literacy experiences create the foundation for reading success in kindergarten and beyond.

Developing Fine Motor Skills and Physical Development

Watch a 4-year-old struggle with scissors, then see that same child confidently cutting shapes a year later. That's fine motor development in action. Our classrooms provide daily opportunities to strengthen the small muscles in hands and fingers through drawing, painting, playdough manipulation, and cutting activities. Children also build gross motor skills during outdoor time, where running, climbing, and balancing help develop coordination and body awareness. This commitment to physical development prepares children for the demands of kindergarten, from holding pencils to sitting attentively during lessons. Kids spend time each day building both fine and gross motor skills that support their overall growth.

Math Concepts Through Hands-On Exploration

Math learning happens naturally when children sort blocks by size, count snack items, or create patterns with colorful manipulatives. Our pre k curriculum introduces number recognition, basic addition and subtraction, shape identification, and measurement concepts through play and discovery. Children learn to compare quantities, understand one-to-one correspondence, and solve simple problems, building the math foundation they need for kindergarten success.

Social-Emotional Growth in a Nurturing Environment

Learning to share, express feelings with words, and work through disagreements takes practice. Our classroom guides create a nurturing environment where children learn empathy, develop self-control, and build the social skills needed for kindergarten classrooms. Through group activities and guided play, students practice taking turns, following daily routines, and supporting their classmates. This focus on emotional development helps children thrive both academically and socially. Every preschooler benefits from the peaceful learning environment we've created.

Science and Discovery Through Age Appropriate Activities

Curiosity drives learning in young children. Our science centers invite students to explore the natural world through experiments, observations, and hands-on investigations. Children learn about plants, animals, weather, and basic physics concepts by touching, testing, and asking questions. These experiences build critical thinking skills while nurturing the natural curiosity that makes learning fun.

Creative Expression Through Art and Music

Every child has creativity waiting to be discovered. Our art centers provide open-ended materials where children explore colors, textures, and techniques without templates dictating their work. Music and movement activities help children develop rhythm, coordination, and self-expression. Research shows that creative experiences strengthen flexible thinking and problem-solving abilities that support success across all learning areas.

Kindergarten Readiness Through Daily Practice

Kindergarten teachers/classroom guides expect students to follow multi-step directions, work independently, and complete tasks from start to finish. Our pre k program builds these skills through structured routines and age appropriate challenges. Children practice transitioning between activities, cleaning up their work spaces, and taking responsibility for their belongings. These everyday experiences develop the independence and self-regulation that make kindergarten transitions smooth and successful.

Why Families Trust Parker Landing CDC in Parker

Parents choose our pre k programs because they want more than child care. They want educators who genuinely care about their child's growth, an age appropriate curriculum backed by research, and a learning environment where education feels like play. Here's what sets us apart:

Two Decades of Educational Excellence: For 20 years, we've prepared young children for kindergarten success. Our track record speaks through the families who return with younger siblings and recommend us to their friends. Parents know their kids are in good hands from the moment they arrive.

Research Based Curriculum Framework: We use the Creative Curriculum, a research based curriculum approach where children learn through play, exploration, and meaningful experiences. This proven curriculum develops the whole child across all learning domains and tracks developmental milestones throughout the year.

Exceptional Teacher-Student Ratios: Our ratios exceed state requirements, giving your child more personalized attention throughout the school year. Small group sizes mean classroom guides truly know each student's strengths, interests, and learning style.

Experienced, Caring Educators: More than half our classroom guides hold bachelor's or master's degrees in early childhood education. Every educator completes 20 hours of continuing education annually and maintains CPR and first aid certification. Many of our classroom guides have been with us for over a decade, bringing stability and expertise to your child's learning experience. Our leadership team, including our school director and assistant director, maintains the same commitment to excellence.

Safe, Inspiring Learning Environment: Our 12,500-square-foot facility features thoughtfully designed classrooms created specifically for young learners. State-of-the-art security systems developed by former Secret Service agents protect your child, while CCTV monitoring lets you check in anytime through a secure app.

Focus on the Whole Child: We develop children socially, emotionally, physically, cognitively, and creatively. Research from the National Education Association confirms that children who attend quality early education programs perform better academically, graduate high school at higher rates, and experience better long-term outcomes. Studies also show that comprehensive early childhood programs support lower risks for health issues later in life, including benefits that extend well into adulthood.

My son was five when he started here and had only been at in home daycare previously. I wasn't sure how it was going to go, and was prepared for a tough transition. From day one he's bounced through the front door with a smile on his face. He loves going here and the teachers are all so nice and welcoming. I feel very comfortable leaving him. You can see they truly care about him.
